I too agree with @Real Estate in Baja, as I have been hosting a number of sites with Dreamhost since 2003. I have only had 3 minor customer service events in the whole time, and it's always a stress free experience.

@ Brad, I manage a couple of mail servers from the dark side (M$ don't blame me they were in place before my stint). Even behind the screwedest downest firewalls, those things are Cybercrime Magnets! In comparison, the faint trickle of spam on the Dreamhost email services is almost imperceptible. Perhaps you need to revisit your config. Call the happy Dreamhost staff!

@Brad By default Dreamhost uses the spamhaus zen list (sbl, xbl & pbl) on all incoming mail . There is no way to turn this filtering off. The spam you see in your mailboxes is what already passed that barrier. Yikes!

I would happily settle for a keyring or sticker, but a Dreamhost number plate would look good on my TSX. Anyhoo, now that we have schmoozed them over with our good comments, can we start giving them our feature requests? :)

My only feature request (so far :) - Add junk mail filters allowing mail to be filtered out if on the SBL, XBL, PBL and SCBL. I hate spam, you hate spam, we all hate spam. I have to rely on a third party service for this functionality.

Thanks Dreamhost!

I always RAVE about your customer support - friendly folks. I praise them as much as I can when I have issues. The help me fix stupid stuff that they really don't need to.

thanks DH!

I do feel like I get more weird outages and malfunctions with Dreamhost than seems reasonable, but the tech support team has always been absolutely outstanding every time I've contacted them. And although I would prefer to have better reliability, if I had to choose between Dreamhost and a provider that had only occasional problems, but horrible support, I'd stick with what I have with DH. I'd have to imagine that they're doing something right, organizationally, because the employees are always such a blast to work with.

This doesn't mean they shouldn't try to improve system reliability too ;)

I must agree with "Real Estate in Baja" as well. I've been hosting with Dreamhost for as long as I've worked on websites, and I've always had great experiences dealing with you guys. The few tech support issues I've had have always received prompt, direct responses from real people.

Over the years, I've seen plenty of other hosts with slightly lower prices overall, but I feel the marginal cost difference is worth it for the peace of mind of knowing that if I have any problems with my service, I can speak to a real person in a short amount of time.

Thanks again DH!
