So hows the lowering of quotas working out for you? I see you guys have been providing sub-standard service across the board since the power outage, up until that point things were tolerable, since then its all gone to pot. I guess the lowering of quotas have had a really great affect on improving your rep with customers.

I have been with DH for a year and love not only the price, the space, the load speeds on my site, but also the whole way they relate to their customers and are constantly adapting to help us out without jacking up rates. We're lucky we have so many choices for our webhosts, have you ever tried customer service with the land line, cell phone, DSL/cable, or even your electric bill? Utter madness, in comparison with these guys. And forget about adding a new service you could use just cause it'll help keep customers happy.

I disagree with everyone saying not to offer less space. I doubt there are very many people using the 200GB you offer when your speeds are SLOW. People complaining about upload speeds, I think this is a problem all over. The guy from Europe, I am in Canada and the upload speed is slow. The download speeds are equally as slow. I am on 5Mbps connection and am downloading at only 40kB/s. Offer less space and do something about your speeds. Space without speed is USELESS.
And I am not the only one I know of complaining about speed issues from DH

[...] As a consumer who generally takes a cynical view of business in my own personal dealings, I was quite surprised at how successfully the post worked at dissipating my anger, and creating a stronger personal affinity with Dreamhost. However their recent New Dream Resolutions post has to go down in the books as the reference post for any businesses wanting to adopt an hilarious, tongue-in-cheek, outrageous tone in communications with customers. (It worked too. I actually reneweed with them for another year just last week.) [...]
