What a week!
July 22, 2006 on 10:23 pm | In Foobars, Updates by Dallas Kashuba |Our string of bad luck is not over yet. After the file server crash last weekend and the subsequent internal network issues that we have been cleaning up all week, this evening brought us a Los Angeles area power outage that took down our data center (again, we know…). This time the generators worked fortunately, but the UPS system did not. That means power was out for the data center for the few minutes it takes the generators to come online. Long story short… most of our equipment is all back online now and we’ll be working through the night making sure all of your websites are back up, too.
Right now we’re still down one fileserver and that’s being worked on. There’s also still a lot of websites down and those are being brought up as fast as possible.
Keep an eye on the off network DreamHost Status page for updates as we know more.

The thing that Dallas didn’t say, is how smooth DreamHost is taking it, I had my doubts about the company before I signed up, but this week has proven that I made no mistake, and that the admins know what they are doing.
Good job DreamHost, lets hope next week brings better luck.
(p.s. the power outage reminds me of the one that Auckland (NZ) had the other month, that took a few Datacentres out for similar reasons. Unavoidable)

World War III, Israel, Lebanon and DreamHost!…
DreamHost’s recent technical difficulties has made DreamHost one of the most searched keywords in blog search engine Technorati.
Maybe not too surprising, but what is making this a bit disturbing is the other contenders for the Top Searches: Wor…

So much for the promises after the last data center power failure.
July 22nd, 2006 at 11:18 pm
I’m a new user, and something I already appreciate is how open you are about technical issues. Any business that can admit that things are screwed up and have to be re-screwed gets a few extra points in my book. My old host didn’t even have a status page…
One suggestion for your status page, though: could you add a relative time stamp (xx.xx hours ago)? You now, so that we lazy-minded overseas users can know how long ago something happened without having to remember how many hours off PST is. :)
July 23rd, 2006 at 12:35 am
This second incident of poor backup power from our building does not bode well. We are already discussing getting at least some of our own backup power to keep our most critical hardware functioning in the event of another power outage. That’ll be a blast… moving equipment around and re-routing all the power cords.
Anyway, most everything’s back up now. We’re still chugging along tying up loose ends.
July 23rd, 2006 at 12:53 am
Hope that this bad run will end soon. I just moved over to DH and all of this started happening… Clients are not to impressed at the moment..
July 23rd, 2006 at 1:51 am
Would this be the cause of the e-mail outage currently affecting my domain?
July 23rd, 2006 at 3:16 am
One (small?) thing that should bother dreamhosters is that people don’t find the status infomation on the dreamhost homepage.
When I go to the homepage of dreamhost, I don’t see anything about “status” or “downtime”. This is why, I guess, people go to T’rati anfterwards.
Should be taken care of.
Something like “last 5 headlines from our official blog”.
July 23rd, 2006 at 4:03 am
Nice post, but it doesn’t explain why e-mail’s been inaccessible for about 12 hours now.
July 23rd, 2006 at 4:24 am
I understand that things have been very busy for the DreamHost folks lately, but please, can someone find the time to fix the DreamHost forums? The constant 500 server errors are driving me insane!

Lads… keep up the good work… We realise you are putting in the most horrific hours during a heat wave… We really appreciate it and (i hope) most of us understand that somethings are can be out of your control.. All the best for getting it all 100% and with your discussions with the DataCenter crew about the system failures.
July 23rd, 2006 at 7:12 am
One question - do you pool ALL your servers in one area, or do you spread it (eg, half on west coast, half on east coast) ?
Reason for asking is that the power outage was blamed on the weather.
If you have your servers spread on different places, than at least half of it would be still online - which means less problem for you too.
Just an idea.

My clients are frying about the recent reliability issues. I am loath to move them (over 100), but clearly DH needs to spend more of its profit margin on hardware!
Can we all say, together, “R E D U N D A N C Y” ! !
And, if your landlord can’t seem to get its power systems stable maybe they need to be sued for non-performance.
We’re using DH for business, not for play. It’s got to be more reliable.

Hmm, wiki.dreamhost.com doesn’t seem to work, discussion.dreamhost.com doesn’t seem to work, I can’t ssh into my server.
But Dreamhost says everything is back runing.
July 23rd, 2006 at 10:24 am
The truth, they don’t have local UPS so they can’t check them. The building is supposed to have UPS along with generators.
DreamHost should probably have local UPS (on each rack) that allow for 5 or 6 minutes without power. That would also allow them to have the UPS devices shut down the hardware if after 5 mins the building doesn’t have power so the hardware doesn’t fail.
IMO, they should’ve already had this (at least on their core hardware, routers, switches, filers, and panel).

I still can’t access my website http://www.bookdiva.net, and keep getting this dialog.
Site Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.
error id: “bad_httpd_conf”
The dreamhost status update states that as of July 23rd, at 3:31 a.m., “All websites, email and all other services should be up and running. If you are still experiencing problems with one of your services, contact our support team right away.”
As if July 23rd, 4:01 pm, CST, I can’t access my website.
July 23rd, 2006 at 1:15 pm
“One suggestion for your status page, though: could you add a relative time stamp (xx.xx hours ago)? You now, so that we lazy-minded overseas users can know how long ago something happened without having to remember how many hours off PST is. :)”
+1 to that, I have been thinking the same thing since the new status page went up
July 23rd, 2006 at 1:21 pm
Are other people still having email trouble, too? I set up a new email account at a new site yesterday just before everything went all ka-blooey and I still can’t receive anything at that new account.
I understand the problem with the power outage, but it’s the middle of the day on Sunday now and the Dreamhost status site says everything is a-ok. However, my support page in the Panel says that the “datacenter has experienced some power fluxuations” for over 24 hours and I’ve had an open support ticket for several hours with no response. Is everything really ok or what’s the problem?
July 23rd, 2006 at 3:44 pm
I am also having email problems: the server drops the connection when I try to authenticate.
July 23rd, 2006 at 6:02 pm
Yup, it’s been happening to me intermittently since the file server problem started.
July 23rd, 2006 at 6:31 pm
They probably didn’t push the updates out yet after getting things squared away. Can you send to that email account from another, or does it bounce?
July 23rd, 2006 at 7:59 pm
Why buy your own UPS if UPS service is part of the rent you’re paying on the datacenter? Are your landlords prepared to cut your rent since they’ve consistently provided inconsistent power?
July 23rd, 2006 at 9:31 pm
Yeah, my email is still down as well. I love you guys, but I really could use my email before morning, eh?
July 23rd, 2006 at 10:10 pm
Haven’t had any email all day. Screw the webservers. Get the IMAP servers up.
Call2biz is f%^$*ing stupid. Thanks for the ad, now piss off.

WTF?! I just checked my site this morning and it’s down yet AGAIN! There is nothing on the Dreamhost status page to indicate that there SHOULD be a problem. So again I ask, WTF?!
July 25th, 2006 at 10:19 am
My site’s up and working fine… so I haven’t the faintest. Probably an individual server issue.
July 25th, 2006 at 11:59 am
My sites are all down as well. It comes up early in the morning and late at night, but during the day, EVERY DAY SINCE LAST MONDAY, it is unresponsive. This is ridiculous.

I am sincerely appreciative of the status page and how open DH is with customers about the technical issues they are facing, but, I must admit, the past week had me frustrated more than once. I am just glad that status page is still working despite the huge hits it has probably been seeing. I’m at the point where I keep the xml feed on my google start page.
July 26th, 2006 at 9:09 am
Maybe Dreamhost will be nice enough to cover all of the ad sales I’m losing off my website. Now it’s JUST my ad server database that’s down… they’re really sticking it to me…
July 26th, 2006 at 12:15 pm
The server my sites on seems to be having a load problem, I’ve let it go the last day or 2, but it’s beginning to get annoying… any chance you could take a look? http://www.rawkstar.net/ http://blog.rawkstar.net/ http://forum.rawkstar.net/ - they’re all affected. load was about 80 yesterday, went down to 4 or 5 then back up to 50 odd today.
Cheers!

You call it bad luck ? I call it inefficiency. Nothing in technology depends on luck.
July 27th, 2006 at 7:43 am
For the last 2 weeks my site has also been down about 10 times a day, I’m beginning to get very frustrated with it all. The status page may be a good idea, but doesn’t help with why my site is down - never correlates to the times mine is offline.
Another week and I’ll be switching hosting companies! I love dreamhost for last 2 years, but enough is enough.
July 27th, 2006 at 8:59 am
I’ve been a loyal Dreamhost customer for over three years, but these recent outages are absolutely unacceptable. I’d gladly pay twice the current rate if it means I’d get some actual service. It would be worth the money.
Sorry, Dreamhost. I am also going to switch companies if this keeps up for another week.
July 27th, 2006 at 2:28 pm
They NEVER say anything about all the email problems…emails not checkable, emails returned to sender, emails not going through to hotmail and yahoo. Why dont’ they say anything about ALL the MANY MANY email issues that have been ongoing for over the past week!!!
July 27th, 2006 at 3:21 pm
The dreamhoststatus.com page is sadly lacking. With so many issues all going on at once it’s impossible to keep up with what’s resolved and what’s not.
“Intermittent email problems” got posted 1 day 23 hours ago and it says “… get everything back to normal soon”. Well, I’m STILL having the same problems. 2 further (unrelated??) postings have been made over the top, but no update of the email problem.
We need a REAL TIME server status page so at any time we can see what’s killing us. This instead of being continually being told by the “SYSTEM-WIDE status” that NOTHING is wrong.
I too have been here for 3 years and it’s been great up until 2 weeks ago but … my clients are asking to be let out of their contracts and I’m thinking of going too.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide better server/system status reports ….. better still, sort out the issues.

Sorry for the off-topic comment here: I looked in vain for a contact form or an email to contact you directly.
Could you please email me ASAP regarding a pretty urgent and important problem with your site (and no, I am not trying to sell you any sort of pharmaceuticals or poker games)…
July 28th, 2006 at 1:16 pm
I’ve had enough. I will start looking for another web host today for all of my client sites. The number of outages is well beyond any sane person’s limit.
July 28th, 2006 at 1:23 pm
I was really happy when I switched to Dreamhost 3 yrs ago and have recommended them over & over to my clients & colleagues. But those days are at an end.
DH — I love you, but it’s getting to be like dating an alcoholic. You’re in denial about the extent of your problem, which has gotten progressively worse. All I hear from clients these days is “What is wrong with DH? Why is my website / email / etc. down?!! I thought you said they were the best!!!”
You were, once upon a time. We had a lot of good times, but I can’t make excuses for your behavior anymore. I’ve tried asking nicely, I’ve tried begging, I’ve tried ultimatums. None of that has worked.
I am now looking to get out of this relationship. I don’t expect my next ISP to be as friendly as you, or have as sexy a web panel, but hopefully it’ll be stable and reliable. And that’s something I value in a long-term relationship.
July 28th, 2006 at 1:35 pm
I’m trying to be patient, but if I need to set my homepage to Dreamhost Status so I know whether or not to bother with visiting my sites before I sit down, let me know.
July 28th, 2006 at 1:36 pm
Maybe it’s time to move to a new datacenter?
July 28th, 2006 at 1:49 pm
I agree. Let’s start coming up with some recommendations for hosts to switch to.
Notice how no matter what goes down Dreamhost.com stays live. It’s about time that Dreamhost sees how not being prepared and not treating customers as they treat themselves can hurt their bottom line, as it does ours.
If the other hosts were smart they would create a custom promo code offering a discount from former Dreamhost customers r
July 28th, 2006 at 1:49 pm
This is ridiculous - took nearly an hour for services to be restored after today’s power outage (in fact, I still can’t access my site yet). I think it really is time for Dreamhost to find a datacentre which has a backup power system which a) WORKS, b) doesn’t catch fire, and c) can respond quickly to dealing with such problems.
July 28th, 2006 at 1:53 pm
dreamhost customer since april 1998. i guess it’s time i evaluate a new host.
July 28th, 2006 at 1:55 pm
i’m with somebody… I mean, the backup power system CATCHES FIRE? WTF?!? That is just not acceptable.
July 28th, 2006 at 1:58 pm
Ever thought of moving to a more reliable data center? You’re a big client, any data center will receive a lot of business if they took you on!
July 28th, 2006 at 2:03 pm
I think Dreamhost should look at demanding compensation from the datacentre - and passing that onto affected customers.
A datacentre which says it provides “one of the most sophisticated, redundant power systems in all of Los Angeles” should never have this sort of problems. Sure - I can understand one power outage disaster (accidents happen), but TWO in the space of a week is just unacceptable.
July 28th, 2006 at 2:06 pm
ditto, ditto, ditto!
July 28th, 2006 at 2:41 pm
you know… in all this years i’ve was the first to recomend DH to everybody and its not for the rewards program which nowadays pays for my hosting bills
It was beacuse DH was friendly and reliable.
However, its time to move to other hosting companies, and start recomending to NOT hire DH services to anyone that asks for my opinion.
I realize that the power outage was just the smallest fo the problems you have and please Dallas, dont get here telling me that it was not your fault all the problems we (customers) are dealing with during this last 15 days.. you CANT tell me that this can happen due to “force majeure”
4-5 days to resolve a filer problem, 2 power outages in one week, my site (and all of my customers sites) going down at least once a day is just DH fault.
July 28th, 2006 at 3:38 pm
Ok…like everyone else, I can understand ONE outage every once in a while, but this is just not acceptable. Does DH not have a “disaster plan” for all of their servers?? Just likst someone else mentioned, I have lost serious money in the past few days. Not to mention that I look like an ass to all of the people whom I have referred to DH… Come on guys, get with the program…
-a ONCE loyal customer
July 28th, 2006 at 3:49 pm
I’m pretty sure MySpace had the same problems… I bet DH’s equipment and MySpace are located in the same building.
California is screwed up, guys.
July 28th, 2006 at 3:50 pm
OK I asked for recommendations and I will be the first…
I have some other domains of mine hosted with Site5 and I have found them to be very reliable and they have great features and low prices. Best of all they have a 60 day full refund policy if you aren’t happy. They have a summer special going on that offers no setup fees and up to three months free. Just use code SUMMERSPECIAL or click here.
July 28th, 2006 at 3:55 pm
[...] I posted some stuff about the outage on the Slackware Blog, including some links to some comments made by some upset customers: Lots of customers are pissed off, as they probably should be. Those links are to customers comments on the most recent post at the DreamHost Blog. I’m lucky enough that the only sites I have there are personal and don’t really matter. I feel for the people trying to run a business with Dreamhost. I had problems at work with Bluehost, but nothing like this. [...]
July 28th, 2006 at 4:42 pm
I’m rapidly losing confidence in DH’s ability to plan for problems and handle them when they arise. I’ve worked in IT, and the first thing I did when I assumed responsibility for the facility was to put together a disaster and failure recovery plan. You know, here are all the types of failures we can expect, here are our plans to recover from those, here are the spares we will have on hand to implement these plans, here is how we will test those plans periodically.
With 300,000 domains hosted, one would hope that DreamHost would have similar measures in place, but the feeling I get is that you’re stuck in the “putting out fires” mode.
Oh yeah, and please stop marking reported outages as “Resolved” in your support system when the service is still not working. It doesn’t matter that you’re working on it, or that it should be working soon - if it isn’t fixed, that ticket should NOT be marked “Resolved”. Thank you.
July 28th, 2006 at 5:56 pm
All this outages happened just as I was going to pay for another year of hosting. The thought of switching crossed my mind. I can imagine a lot of people thinking the same thing. However, I decided to give dreamhost another chance as this was the first time such a persistent problem occured. Not sure how many are deciding otherwise.
So something needs to be done to restore the confidence of your customers and reward their patience.
July 28th, 2006 at 9:40 pm
I have to agree with the majority of posts here. There is no excuse for this. It happens continuously. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. I have moved all of my paying clients and my own sites to another hosting company. Soon, I will be moving my non-paid sites over to as well. I have also taken my DH referral link off of my web site and tell my clients to steer far away from Dreamhost. You guys are making tons of money. Spend some of it on reliability for your clients and theirs! I have appreciated the friendly service too, but would gladly trade it for a bunch of a**holes who can keep their servers running.
July 29th, 2006 at 3:42 pm
anybody still getting the MySQL Error 28 warnings?

Basically Dreamhost has to ask themselves an important question here - are they going to be a “made in china” cheap generic host or are they about quality…
I am starting to think that DH is one of those “too good to be true” type affairs. My site has been down for 30mins today, DH says issue resolved, rebooted server… him issue resolved yet I still can’t access my site. This plus the fact that a lot of the time my site takes 15+ seconds to render, when a mirror on a different site takes at most 2 seconds…. Well my annual subs are due in a week or so and I am thinking to take my 200+ bucks elsewhere.
This amount might not be much to DH, but I am sure I am not the only thinking of deserting this sinking ship…
July 30th, 2006 at 5:39 pm
Dreamhost is dissapointed to me…
My statistics are ugly this weekend…
My sites has been down many times this 3 o 4 days.
This count in my billing? have a discount? :-(
Very, very bad
July 30th, 2006 at 6:39 pm
I’m with you Mike, these posts about downtime are extremely funny.
On a serious note, this kind of thing will happen to _every_ host someday, no doubt about it. There will always be a time when old hardware is dying and new hardware is coming in. It’s just how datacenters work. After this string of random outages, I think that the future looks bright for the next 3+ years at least.
July 30th, 2006 at 8:28 pm
You can read more about that Dreamhost 97 day guarantee here: Why DreamHost Sucks. Let’s just say read the fine print.
July 31st, 2006 at 7:13 am
I’ve been with DH since Dec of 2002 and I’ve never seen downtime like this.
Which is fine. 4 solid years versuse a week of hardware troubles.
That’s pretty good odds to me.
I know that machines plot their hardware failures to occur together. When one thing goes, be on the lookout for the rest. Don’t know why this happens but it does.
Saw the same thing when I worked tech support for the State of VA. See the same thing in the print shop I’m in now…
We just need to find who the server ring leader is, and take it out back and fdisk it!
That’ll show them!

fu*k again??? MAN… are you kidding all of us?

i’m getting off dreamhost first chance i get. this freakin blows. the past 3 months have been horrendous.
July 31st, 2006 at 11:39 am
It is annoying. I convinced my work to switch some of it’s simple marketing sites and email over.. and since then it’s been nothing but problems every week.
July 31st, 2006 at 11:41 am
This is the fourth major issue in a weeks time, I don’t know about everyone else, but I cannot runa business this way! You guys either have to get better emergency generators or move out of California like all of the other tech companies have been starting to do. You guys have been really great up until recently, and I do appreciate the fast responses, but when a missed email can cost me $10k or more I get upset. My patience is worn very thin.
July 31st, 2006 at 11:54 am
I agree with RJ. Your company sucks. And it is ruining mine, with hundreds of times that my email is inaccessible. What do I tell a client when I can’t send him a file? Check his email? If I keep ending up using Yahoo! mail, what is the point of having an account with you?
Oh yeah. There isn’t one. That’s why I’m cancelling my subscription.
July 31st, 2006 at 11:55 am
It’s been nearly an hour since everything went down — why hasn’t anything been posted to DreamHost Status?
I’d be a lot less pissed if I knew what they were up against, and had an idea of when things would be back — even if it was going to take a while.
July 31st, 2006 at 12:09 pm
the emergency page says webmail and the panel are down. Sorry, it’s much worse then that. All my sites are down!!
July 31st, 2006 at 12:11 pm
It seems like DH is run like a science project with no regard for the impact that all these outages have on customers that are trying to run a business. The status messages always have a tone of surprise to them-get your act together! Your service sucks.
July 31st, 2006 at 12:19 pm
Taking suggestions for hosting companies. Recommends? Been with DH since Feb and had endless problems.
We’re done.
July 31st, 2006 at 12:41 pm
Guys…I’m beyond frustrated. My website is down every time I turn around these days! Clients can’t view their content or get their files–this is such a headache!
I absolutely hate migrating everything over to different hots, but with this horrid few weeks, it’s completely shaken my confidence in your service. I *just* referred someone too–I think I’ll have to let them know they shouldn’t bother.
July 31st, 2006 at 1:28 pm
Just signed up with Go Daddy. Thanks Dream Host. For nothing.
So long losers.
July 31st, 2006 at 1:31 pm
P.S. Mike– Demanding good service isn’t whining. Is that what you tell your customers when they complain? I have had this service since 2003 and while the past 3 months have been egregious, poor service from DH is nothing new. Hosting seems to be the used car dealership of the Internet– hidden costs when you sign up, and problems later. Just because they’re big, doesn’t mean they’re good.
July 31st, 2006 at 1:46 pm
It’s down AGAIN? It was up… we were celebrating! Now it’s failing.
July 31st, 2006 at 1:50 pm
My sites were up for 50 whole minutes.
July 31st, 2006 at 2:11 pm
Barry,
Hah. If you think Dreamhost is bad, I can’t wait until you encounter a problem with Godaddy. Good. Luck. They are fine with domains, but webhosting, erm, well, just Google for some reviews.

Goddam! Down AGAIN! What in the hell is wrong with you guys? Move data centers, buy ENTIRELY NEW EQUIPMENT and run a COMPANY. I bet the neighborhood geek’s basement server is up more than this. COMPLETE BS! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

tm,
I understand your frustration, but I just wanted to add one point: Your neighborhood geeks probably aren’t hosting 300,000+ (or perhaps less after all of this downtime, heh) customers. That is a *lot* of servers to manage, and if this only happens once every four years like the people above have stated, wow, that is pretty good in my book.

This is just a flipping joke. Been with Dreamhost for 7 years and the last 3-4 months have been damned awful! Just when the status page looked as if they’d ironed out their problems… boom! The whole thing is offline again. Worst of all my mail is down (waiting for a job offer coming through).
At the moment it’s a toss-up between MediaTemple and Hostgator. Can anyone recommend a good domain registrar to transfer my domains to?

Is anyone else having trouble adding stuff in the panel? I tried adding some domains, and a couple email addresses and it’s all just been pending for over a day.
This is my first three days with dreamhost, and it seems nothing works right. I really want it to work though, because dreamhost seems more personal than all the other companies, and the features they offer are great. And so many people say good things about them, but this really is not the best start.

I have dreamhost’s status page as an rss feed in my safari bookmarks and I see every day some new problem appearing. Then I check my website and it is there.
Two months ago I left another hosting because my website was suspended of some overuse garbage…
When I joined DH I set up a siteuptime service and since then my uptime is %99.584. I can live with that. To be honest, I think there are not that many customers having problems if the people complaining here are about 20-30. 30 mad customers is not that bad IMHO. I’m sure there are others that just do not complain, but you people are making look like everyone’s site is down, and everyone has problems. It is impossible for everything to be allright 24/7. It just cannot happen. I’ve been sysadmin for some time now and let me tell you, machines are mean and they will do their best to break in the worst time.
This kinds of problems will happen everywhere, it is important how long it takes the admins to recover from a situation like this. And from what I see, DH are doing well.
In the end it is impossible to have all customers happy…
Good luck to you guys. I’m going to write me a backups script to save my data every once in a while… :)

I’ve had Dreamhost for over 2 years and I have to say that this month has been very frustrating. I’m using it mostly as a personal image host and to show my ‘Reel’ to prospective clients/employers.
Every other time I check, it’s down. I love Dreamhost, but you guys are really freaking me out.

Thanks for the info; canceled GoDaddy. Any suggestions of a replacement from someone not glued to DH’s behind, like Mike? (Or do you work for them…?)
“A person that can’t complain without profanity or other little tantrums, is too stupid…”
Give your little “retards” comment, Mike, I must agree.

Things haven’t been too good lately but the past year and a half of good smooth sailing deserves some patience, plus august is slow time for me. That said if in 2 weeks things don’t get back to normal I’ll have to move my domains (Not looking forward to that)
I have taken down all reflinks and promo codes since reccomending dh at this juncture is not really kosher…

For folks looking for another hosting company… The other company that I resell for is Hostgator (http://hostgator.com). I’ve been with them for years and have had almost no downtime for sites or email. I don’t even think they oversell their space. I have moved all of my paying clients to Hostgator and have been headache free ever since! The prices can not compare to DH, but I have learned the hard way that you get what you pay for.

I have been here for a years and really its been pretty smooth sailing so far. I am also a system admin amoungst many hats I wear and I like honesty and maybe its just luck but my sites seem to be up most of the time.So I like it here, just keep on keeping on …

I just switched over to Webair and I am just so glad to be able to pick up the phone and have LIVE customer service again. None of this sending a email and waiting for a reply shit! I run a paysite and having site outages like I have been (with Dreamhost) is just not acceptable. Yeah, Dreamhost had some great deals on webhosting packages but I’ve learned my lesson. Unless they have LIVE customer service–never again! You get what you pay for!

[...] Lots of customers are pissed off, as they probably should be. Those links are to customers comments on the most recent post at the DreamHost Blog. I’m lucky enough that the only sites I have there are personal and don’t really matter. I feel for the people trying to run a business with Dreamhost. I had problems at work with Bluehost, but nothing like this. [...]
