I did this because I thought it would significantly reduce the price for domain registration for DreamHost customers -- OpenSRS was only charging $8 per registration. DreamHost ran with the idea, pocketing most of the savings instead of passing them on to their customers. Luckily enom and godaddy came along soon after. I won't complain too loudly, since all the recent free upgrades have made me very happy ;-) Ha!
